Work options: Flexible Work with some of Australia’s most iconic retail, industrial and health businesses Unique opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of accounting and commercial matters Flexible, supportive work environment and work from home options Full-time, 15-month contract role based in Perth CBD About the team Our Group Accounting team is responsible for the consolidation and analysis of the Wesfarmers Group accounts, management and improvement of finance systems, accounting and taxation matters for the Corporate Office, as well as providing a source of expertise for the Wesfarmers Group. What you’ll do As a key finance partner to our businesses, you will: Provide accurate and timely monthly reporting and analysis of Wesfarmers’ Group results and forecasts to the Board of Directors and Executive Management Work closely with key stakeholders to provide insights that enable them to make informed and better decisions Support the annual budgeting process and bi-annual financial reporting requirements for the Wesfarmers Group Proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting and other internal processes Stay up to date with emerging trends and best practice as it relates to accounting systems and reporting tools What you’ll need Previous experience working in management accounting and/or financial analysis Experience in the collection, analysis and interpretation of financial data Proficiency in Microsoft Excel A naturally inquisitive and analytical mind, and strong ability to problem solve Well-developed written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail Be a self-starter and results focused Be team orientated, with a motivation to excel in your career Tertiary qualification in Commerce or a related discipline and have commenced or completed CA/CPA accreditation Nice to have’s Experience with accounting consolidation systems such as OneStream Experience in budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting Working knowledge of BI tools (Power BI would be a plus) About Wesfarmers As one of Australia’s largest listed companies, we’re proud of our longstanding contribution to Australians.
