The Gig An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced , commercially minded Landscape Operations & Maintenance Manager to lead a growing SE QLD maintenance portfolio. Covering high-profile contracts including local councils and major commercial sites, you’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional service while driving operational efficiency, safety, and quality standards. Based in SE QLD and reporting to the National Maintenance Manager , you’ll ply your trade to lead a team of 10 full-time staff, manage subcontractors, and oversee scheduling, resourcing, and client liaison. You’ll also work closely with the Estimator to support new business opportunities and tender submissions, helping grow the portfolio’s value and profitability. You’ll be trusted with: Leading day-to-day operations across a growing maintenance portfolio Managing and mentoring a team of full-time maintenance staff Overseeing scheduling, resourcing, and equipment allocation to meet client SLAs Ensuring work is delivered safely on time, and to specification Building and maintaining strong client relationships across council and commercial accounts Monitoring budgets, forecasting labour and material requirements, and driving cost efficiency Supporting the Estimator in preparing bids, tenders, and variation proposals Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers for specialist works Conducting regular site inspections to maintain quality and compliance standards Reporting operational performance to the National Maintenance Manager What’s in your toolbox? Proven experience in landscape maintenance management or similar operations role Strong leadership skills with the ability to build high-performing teams Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management capabilities Sound knowledge of maintenance programs, scheduling, and quality systems Commercial acumen with budget control and forecasting skills A commitment to safety and environmental best practice Cert III or higher in Horticulture, Parks & Gardens, or related field (desirable) Current driver’s licence You’re the kind of person who runs a portfolio like it’s your own business, commercially minded, hands-on, and always looking for ways to lift performance.
