About the Role As a Senior Policy Officer, you will play a lead role in shaping policy and advocacy efforts related to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), with a primary focus on pricing frameworks. Reporting to the Chief, Policy and Advocacy, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to broader legislative and regulatory reforms that directly impact the speech pathology profession. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months, with flexible location options. About the Person You are a strategic thinker with a solid legal background, and you’ll have experience in health, disability, public, economic and/or pricing policy. You have a deep understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks and thrive in stakeholder engagement and consultation processes. You’re passionate about contributing to reforms that make a tangible difference and enjoy collaborating with internal and external partners to influence policy outcomes. Duties Provide analysis, advice, and representation on NDIS pricing policy and reforms Draft submissions, policy papers, reports, and briefings Monitor NDIS policy developments and lead consultation engagements Represent the Association in forums, roundtables, and stakeholder meetings Collaborate with internal teams to support advocacy planning and interpretation of policy Contribute to the wider Policy and Advocacy Team’s strategic initiatives Engage with members and key stakeholders to gather insights and share updates Skills/Experience Essential: Minimum 2 years’ experience in policy, advocacy, or a related field Law degree Experience in health, disability, economic or pricing policy Strong written and verbal communication skills Comprehensive understanding of legislative and regulatory processes Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills Desirable: Experience working as an advisor to a Member of the Australian Parliament Government experience in a department related to health or disability Apply now to be part of a dedicated team driving meaningful policy change in the speech pathology sector, or email louise@reviserecruitment.com.au for more information.
