Why you will love this opportunity as Senior Employee Relations Consultant at Civica For People Operations this means building a strong foundation of people processes and policies to ensure that we are building, maintaining and growing our return on people investment. Our people operations includes creating one source of truth for all people data; delivery of core routine processes such as new starters/leavers/pay review/ performance management; managing employee relations cases; benefits administration; managing change processes such as restructures; keeping people systems up to date; from time to time designing new policies such as building on our suite of family friendly policies; managing employee and manager queries. In each region there is a People Operations leader who overseas delivery within the region through managing 2 teams: Employee relations, and Operations. Key Responsibilities Management of ER cases through to conclusion – particularly high risk or complex cases. Upskill and coach managers to effectively manage employee cases. Lead and plan change programmes to ensure delivery of business outcomes, while ensuring compliance with local consultation requirements. Day to day management of union relationship Manage and lead investigations where necessary Monitor legislation changes and market trends within jurisdiction and develop or update policies to ensure compliance and competitive advantage is maintained. Coach and support wider members of the People team on ER and policy matters Requirements What you will need to be successful in this role Experience of managing a variety of ER cases including managing external claims. Experience of managing positive relations with Unions, and ensuring compliance with Award requirements Experience of delivering change programs such as restructuring or M&A integration Significant knowledge or formal qualifications in employment law in AU, NZ and SNG, and experience of development of policies Strong stakeholder management, influencing and effective communication We really do want you to bring your whole self to work.
