About the opportunity: The Professional Development Coordinator facilitates and coordinates key day-to-day operations of the ANZCA, FPM Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program and professional development offering. The CPD program promotes and implements proven and accepted educational standards, strategies, and tools. These are used to assist fellows and CPD participants to plan and participate in CPD activities that meet their learning and practice needs, leading to better patient care. This is a permanent, full-time role reporting to the Professional Development Manager. The Professional Development team sits within ANZCA’s Education and Research department. Together, the team leads the strategic design and continuous improvement of training and professional development programs, including curricula and assessment frameworks, digital learning, policy and governance systems, and reporting and evaluation. The role of the Professional Development Coordinator (with oversight from the Professional Development Manager) is primarily responsible for: • Developing and coordinating the ANZCA FPM CPD and professional development offering communications strategy and workplan including content creation and direct communication with CPD participants • Contribution and coordination of the maintenance of the CPD program and professional development offering including updates to systems, process and policy • Coordinating CPD program and professional development offering processes • Oversee, monitor and allocate the supporting verification and end-of-cycle processes by ensuring queries are addressed accurately and in a timely manner to the quality expected across the team • Act as the subject matter expert to all roles, provision of training, support and quality assurance • Addressing queries and actively contacting members who are at risk of not meeting their annual CPD requirements. This position may involve work outside normal business hours, e.g., occasional evening teleconferences/web conferences and work required to meet critical deadlines. This may also involve very occasional weekend work. Keys to your success: You are an experienced Coordinator with a solution focused mindset and a passion for customer service. You have solid experience partnering with a range of stakeholders and possess outstanding communication and influencing skills. You will ideally bring: Essential: • Sound experience gained in a professional environment in a coordinator role providing quality service to members / customer groups. • Exposure to varied process management. • Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to confidently liaise with a diverse range of people including professionals. • Strong customer service experience. • Excellent verbal communication skills; the ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner. • Sound analytical skills; the ability to problem solve member enquiries and source and analyse data. • Strong written communication skills; the ability to prepare reports, communications and procedure manuals. • Well-developed planning and organisation skills, including the ability to effectively handle conflicting priorities, establish timeframes and meet deadlines. • Computer skills a) Advanced level: MS Word, Outlook, Internet; Excel b) Aptitude to learn the in-house member database and online CPD portfolio Desired: • Experience gained in an education, medical sector, membership-based or committee environment would be an advantage. • Experience working on online databases would be advantageous.
