This is done by managing the end-to-end process for regulating markets including supervision, triage, investigation, and enforcement. The Markets Group also provides regulatory advice, considers applications and actively engages with stakeholders. The Markets Regulation team is a team of specialist lawyers who provide legal support across the Markets Group and also lead and co-ordinate ASIC's input on law reform, policy development and implementation and strategic reviews. The role As a Lawyer, you will: Provide high-level legal, policy, and strategic advice on financial markets regulation. Lead or contribute to key policy projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Draft legal instruments and process applications for regulatory relief. Develop legal templates and assist in contract management. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. About you You have tertiary qualifications in law and experience in financial services law, regulatory environments, government policy, or commercial law. Your expertise includes an understanding of the Market Integrity Rules, Corporations Act, and the obligations imposed on Australian Financial Services Licensees and Australian Market Licensees. Beyond your technical expertise, you are a strong collaborator with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. You work effectively in complex regulatory environments, demonstrating sound judgment and the ability to deliver timely, high-quality advice.
