The team manage the department's interests in Snowy Hydro Limited's performance and responsibilities, and the internal governance arrangements to support the Minister for Climate Change and Energy's shareholding responsibilities. The team monitor the impacts of government policies on Snowy Hydro Limited and engage with Snowy Hydro Limited on its policy impacts. The team are responsible for managing and maintaining engagement with relevant stakeholders in relation to Snowy Hydro Limited, both internally and externally. The key duties of the position include Lead the development and provision of high-quality advice to support the department and Minister for Climate Change and Energy in managing their shareholder responsibilities. Manage and influence the working level relationships with Snowy Hydro and Department of Finance to deliver effective control of the company for the Minister for Climate Change and Energy. Overseeing (and reviewing as appropriate) governance arrangements to manage Snowy Hydro Limited's performance and provide oversight of the Government's shareholding responsibilities. Develop policy and enabling advice on Snowy Hydro's strategies and operations related to cross-cutting departmental policy areas including water, emissions and energy. Monitor and drive the progress of Snowy 2.0 and the Hunter Power Project, Support capability development of team members, empowering them to work collaboratively and productively to deliver high quality outcomes to achieve identified business objectives. Promote integrity practices by displaying a high level of ethical behaviour in accordance with the APS Code of Conduct, APS Values and APS Employment Principles. Manage and lead the team consistent with Work Health and Safety responsibilities, obligations, and the department's Workplace Behaviours policy.
