The Support at Home Policy Operations Branch is seeking to fill two ongoing vacancies at the APS6 level - Costing and Demand Analysts/Pricing Analysts The key duties of the position include Successful applicants will fill roles across two functions in the team. Responsibilities include: Support at Home pricing analysis - Working on the transition to price caps and analysing how these price caps will impact the financial viability of providers in Support at Home. You will maintain and refine an R-based model built for this purpose and analyse large datasets to monitor compliance with pricing transparency requirements. You will also work closely with colleagues from the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority. You will also contribute to program and policy costings submitted in the MYEFO and Budget cycles. Support at Home demand and costing analysis - Maintaining and refining an R-based model to project demand for in-home aged care, feeding outputs from this model into other modelling assets. Monitoring the performance of, and making refinements to, an existing algorithm that manages and prioritises demand for Support at Home. Development of a prioritisation algorithm for clients who may need assistive technology (such as wheelchairs) and/or home modifications (such as home renovations to widen doorways or install grab rails. Contribution to program and policy costings submitted in the MYEFO and Budget cycles. The successful applicants will work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders and provide high quality advice to executives. They will also contribute analytical input to support the transition of the Commonwealth Home Support Programme into Support at Home.
