About the role We're seeking a Junior Robotics Engineer who is both a skilled technical professional and a great communicator. This dynamic role is a unique mix of internal technical work and direct customer interaction. You'll use your expertise in Industrial Automation and Industry 4.0 technologies to support the entire customer journey—from pre-sales demonstrations and on-site deployments to proof of concepts and post-sales support. If you're a hands-on problem-solver who enjoys working directly with customers to see a project through to success, this is the perfect opportunity. Please note, this is a 1-year contract role with the potential to convert to a full time, permanent position. Requirements Customer-Facing & Project Lifecycle Understand Konica Minolta’s robotics offering and be able to simply and effectively communicate its capabilities to internal and external customers Act as a technical point of contact for customers, assisting with pre-sales activities, solution development, and product demonstrations. Support Sales team members with required technical information solutioning needs. Create simulations and conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate technical solutions and showcase the value of the robotics platform in customer-specific environments. Travel to customer sites for on-site deployments, system commissioning, and providing hands-on technical support. Provide timely and effective post-sales support, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to ensure their long-term satisfaction. Technical & Engineering Assist in the design, development, and testing of solutions using autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). Integrate robotics hardware and software into client environments with involvement of our partner or third-party provider, if required. Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot both hardware and software issues in a fast-paced environment. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including system specifications, user manuals, and deployment guides. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Industrial Automation and Industry 4.0 technologies to continuously improve solution offerings. Who are we looking for? 2 years’ experience in Industrial automation, Mobile robotics, or related technical field. A Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Hands-on Technical Expertise: Proven experience with industrial automation components, PLCs, sensors, and robotics systems. Programming Proficiency: Strong programming skills in languages like C++, Python, or ROS (Robot Operating System). Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic skills for both hardware and software issues. Customer-Facing Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients during pre-sales, deployment, and post-sales support. Project Lifecycle Knowledge: Experience supporting projects through various stages, from proof of concept to full-scale deployment. Takes risks and innovates. Manages self effectively.
