We are seeking a professional and accomplished sales performer to join our team and contribute to the ongoing success of our Rail Products division. The Role The Sales Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring our customer needs are met promptly by liaising with our operational areas, effectively communicating, displaying strong organisational capability and disciplined follow-up actions. Key responsibilities for this role include: Sales Process Coordination – co-ordinating internal teams to ensure smooth order progression; tracking and management of freight documentation, compliance and shipping schedules; liaison between internal teams and customers to ensure expectations are met. Market Analytics and Intelligence – conduct regular analysis of market trends, customer segments etc; monitor import/export data to identify opportunities or risks; prepare reports and insights to guide sales strategies. New Product and Service Development Support – collaborate with technical and product teams to identify customer needs ad translate into product/service concepts; gather customer feedback and market data for feasibility assessments; support early-stage engagement and pilot launches or new offerings. Lead Generation and Product Promotion - p roactively identify and qualify new business leads through outbound activity, digital channels, and industry events; promote new offerings to prospective customers; maintain prospect pipelines and track engagement through the sales funnel. CRM Management - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions, opportunities, and sales activity in CRM system; s upport forecasting and performance tracking through reports and performance tracking; c hampion CRM adoption and ensure data quality across the team. Account Manager Support and Succession Planning - Shadow Account Managers to develop a deep understanding of clients, sales cycles, and delivery; provide coverage and ensure service continuity during absences; actively participate in succession planning by progressively taking on account responsibilities . Customer Service - Serve as primary contact for order and logistics-related inquiries; resolve complaints and delivery issues with urgency and professionalism; keep customers informed about order status and shipment tracking; plan and monitor inbound/outbound shipments for timely, cost-effective delivery; Liaise with transport providers, warehouses, and suppliers to manage goods flow; Track shipments and resolve delays proactively; Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company policies. About You Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred) Minimum 2 years in sales support, business development, or a customer-facing role Experience in international trade or logistics coordination is advantageous Strong interpersonal and communication skills Analytical with high attention to detail Proactive, self-motivated, and growth-focused CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) Capable of juggling multiple priorities in a demanding environment Manufacturing industry exposure in a sales capacity is desirable.
