About the Division The People Strategy and Operations (VPS) Division is responsible for managing HR operations and providing strategic support for both corporate staff and accommodation services. It oversees corporate environments, sustainability initiatives, payroll, recruitment, policy development, workplace relations, and workforce management. Operating under a values-based framework, the division prioritizes meeting client needs and improving policies and processes, to deliver on our corporate responsibilities. As a People Advisory Specialist in the People Advisory team, you will play a pivotal role leading the standard of HR service provided to all employees of the department. Provide mentorship to others in the team around problem solving, exceptional client service standards and cross functional team collaboration. To be successful in this role you will: Serve as a primary point of contact for People Services enquiries. Provide expert HR advice on People Services matters to a diverse VPS corporate workforce. Effectively prioritise and manage all People Services enquiries within established SLAs, with accurate and timely service. Work collaboratively with your team and others within People Services for managing complex case escalations. Establish comprehensive knowledge of departmental processes and policies for HR services. Escalate complex cases to subject matter experts in other areas of the People Strategy & Operations Division as necessary. Identify emerging people trends to drive informed decisions and proactively identify ongoing process and system improvement initiatives for level 0 service support. Desirable Qualifications and Experience A Tertiary qualification in HR or similar. Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic, high performing payroll, HR advisory or recruitment function. Strong knowledge and understanding of HR policies, procedures, and practices. Proven ability to effectively engage and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Ability to interpret and convey specialist HR concepts and policies to diverse stakeholders. Effective problem-solving capability to resolve or escalate operational service queries.
