Westfill are entering a significant phase of expansion and are seeking Underground Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our FIFO team in WA! What You'll Do: Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding, servicing and breakdown repairs. Preventative maintenance and defect repairs. Work on equipment including but not limited to: Sandvik trucks, drills and loaders, Normet charge rigs, CAT graders and Volvo integrated tool carriers. Scope jobs accurately for quality repair of plant and equipment, including estimation of time, materials and resources required to complete the job. Great team culture. Job security with ongoing projects. What You'll Need: Australian recognised Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification (essential). A minimum of 2 years’ post-trade underground experience working in heavy machinery, agriculture, civil, construction or mining environment. Current Valid Manual Driver’s License (essential) and ability to operate underground vehicles with relevant RPLs. Strong knowledge of underground mining regulations, procedures and explosives handling. Strong diagnostic, maintenance, and fault-finding skills. Ability to work in confined spaces and physically demanding conditions.
