About the Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mine Planning Engineer to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. This site-based role reports to the Technical Services Manager and operates on an 8:6 roster, with potential to work from the Perth office at times. Your focus will be on overseeing the development and integrity of mine planning activities, ensuring designs are technically sound, aligned with operational goals, and continuously improved. Your primary responsibilities will include: Leading the development and optimisation of the mine plan to enable safe, efficient, and value-driven extraction. Delivering short-, medium-, and long-term designs with supporting documentation, including financial evaluations and control processes. Collaborating with stakeholders to manage risk, resolve scheduling issues, and progress critical path activities. Managing design tools and processes, including system administration and QAQC. Mentoring Planning team members and supporting capability growth across Technical Services. Championing safety and HSEC standards through leadership, inspections, and incident response. About You Our ideal candidate will have strong experience in similar mine planning roles, along with the ability to lead high-performing teams. Other key skills, experience, and qualifications: A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline. A strong knowledge of underground mining methods, equipment, and backfill systems. A solid understanding of underground mine design and approval processes across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons. Experience in developing and embedding technical systems and processes for mine planning and scheduling. A current C-class manual driver’s licence.
