POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a highly organized, solution-focused Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of transportation operations for major events in Australia. This role is critical in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely movement of client groups across complex event environments. As a key member of the event operations team, the Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, government agencies, transport operators, and venue managers to deliver an integrated transport plan. The ideal candidate brings expertise in large-scale transport logistics, risk and contingency planning, and operational readiness for high-pressure, time-sensitive environments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Plan, coordinate and deliver assigned project for the client Develop conceptual and operational plans to ensure successful delivery of all services Develop and maintain a project plan throughout the course of each project, identifying and escalating risks and issues that could affect a seamless project delivery Engage and seek competitive quoting from service delivery providers, using our preferred suppliers/ partners in the first instance Coordinate various stakeholders and service delivery partners to ensure the client experience is of the highest standards Continuously ensure any NHVL compliance requirements such as Chain of Responsibility (COR) is adhered to and implemented throughout the planning and delivery of services Onsite, perform various operational roles at a specific event/s such as Load Zone Supervisor, Dispatcher, Depot Manager, Client Services Manager, etc. Implement and maintain Workplace, Health & Safety requirements whilst performing duties at all times. Ensuring the health and safety of yourself, your colleagues and sub-contractors SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Knowledge of the passenger transport industry in one or more of the following areas (Bus/ Coach, Chauffeur, Taxi, Rail, Fleet, etc) An understanding of transport specific software such as route design, scheduling and dispatch systems, vehicle tracking and passenger count software Ability to juggle conflicting priorities and immovable deadlines Works collaboratively as part of a team, positive team culture, relationship builder and leadership qualities Client focused and understands how to go the 'extra mile' Willing to have constructive conversations to achieve mutual results Empathetic to culturally diverse audiences Enjoy process and framework methodologies when required Attend meetings (remotely and onsite) representing TMS AUS with suppliers, clients and stakeholders Represent TMS in a professional manner at all times whether in person or online Ability to work independently and remotely, more than often online Respond to and send communications via email, phone, online meetings in a timely manner Maintain a record of all your hours of work and tasks performed by completing documentation to assign relevant hours to a specific project Maintain all documentation in company files and folders online and in shared folders Flexibility in working hours – no two days are the same. Be willing to work flexible and extended hours throughout the event period Willing to travel interstate and overseas (occasionally) therefore have a valid passport Have a current and full car driving license QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE University degree or equivalent professional experience Proficient in English (written and oral) Must have the right to work within Australia (prior to applying for the role) Preferably 5 years of progressive responsibilities and work-related experience, and any combination of education and training, which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, combined with demonstrated professional growth and achievement Previous involvement in complex event operations, preferably at FIFA World Cup™ or Olympics scale or equivalent Experience of working in International and Australia major events, preferably within a transport, venue or logistics capacity Advanced skills in writing operational plans and post event reporting Excellent skills in project based financial budgets and reconciliations Good business acumen Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 software Experience of Project Management and CRM software The employee’s responsibilities reflect current needs and requirements of the Company as at the date of issuing this position description.
