Resolve Recruit is partnering with a leading Commonwealth Government agency to find a highly skilled Data Engineer to their team. Our client is at the forefront of a forefront of supporting Australia's agriculture, fisheries and forestry sectors through world-class technology platforms and data analytics capabilities. This role offers the chance to contribute to designing and developing sophisticated data movement, transformation and visualisation processes that enable critical decision-making across the organisation. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building and testing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) processes on Azure cloud platforms. You will work collaboratively within an agile, multi-disciplinary team to create data storage solutions and leverage modern cloud technology to enable operational analytics use cases. Key Responsibilities: Design, build and test ETL/ELT processes on Azure data and analytics platforms Develop and implement data storage solutions to meet current and emerging requirements Utilise expert knowledge of best practices to uplift capability maturity and governance Create and maintain data frameworks and transformation strategies Provide technical support and act as escalation point for complex data engineering challenges Train and mentor junior data engineers through quality reviews and constructive feedback Key Experience and Skills: Minimum 5 years' experience as a Data Engineer with strong ETL/ELT development background Demonstrated experience with Azure stack including Data Factory, Databricks and SQL Server Proven ability preparing data optimised for query performance in cloud computing engines (Spark) Experience with data transformation into analytics-ready formats (Parquet, Delta) Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure engineering, storage and analytics services Excellent communication, relationship building and agile development experience If you're ready to bring your expertise as a Data Engineer to a government agency organisation focused on Australia’s agricultural industries and trade, we'd love to hear from you!
