These programs aim to provide a range of biopsychosocial support strategies that promote and support social inclusion. Under the support and direction of the Program Coordinator – South Tasmania, this Group Programs Worker role forms part of the Wellways to Recovery team. The aim of the group worker is to establish connections within the community and build up programs based across Tasmania in line with our Prevention, Promotion and Early Intervention targets. There is an expectation to work with all sites across Tasmania to establish programs in each area and some intrastate travel may be necessary. Work will be guided by Wellways' evidence -based practice frameworks: Consultation and collaboration Utilising evidence-based resources Consumer participation and input Program development and evaluation design To be successful in this role Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will go hand in hand with your demonstrated alignment with Wellways values. You will hold a relevant qualification or demonstrated experience and skills in providing high-quality networking, planning and production of groups and the ability to meet, liaise and work with people with lived experience of mental health. You will also need: Tertiary Qualifications in a social science or related discipline Prior experience working within the Mental Health industry or community-based organisation Effective communication skills, verbal and written including the ability to complete reports.
