About the Role We are currently seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Technical Officer Port Assets to join our Port Infrastructure Assets team. Reporting to the Port Infrastructure Asset Manager , this role will see you contribute to the planning, delivery, and maintenance of vital port infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for civil design support, project supervision, and ensuring that all works meet the required engineering, quality, and legislative standards. Key Responsibilities Supervise site works, including activities related to civil design, drafting, surveying, and technical services. Facilitate project delivery and asset management by ensuring compliance with all relevant standards. Provide project oversight from construction through to delivery and handover. Conduct inspections and provide technical advice to ensure quality and compliance. Deliver civil technical services, including drafting, design, and surveying. Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders to support project success. Ensure that all design and documentation aligns with Australian Standards and GPC requirements. About You We’re looking for a motivated and collaborative professional with a strong civil/structural background and a keen eye for detail. You will be confident working across a range of technical tasks and committed to upholding high standards in infrastructure project delivery and asset performance. Qualifications and Skills Associate Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Sound understanding of engineering and asset management principles. Experience with Trimble machine guidance and Trimble Business Centre (desirable). Experience with drone survey equipment and techniques (desirable). Why Work with Us?
