The Role This is a great opportunity to be part of the world’s largest bulk export port authority as an Assistant Corporate Secretary. This role is based in the Perth CBD. Working directly alongside a highly accomplished Corporate Secretary, you will provide high quality specialist governance support and advisory expertise. In your role, you will be responsible for administering Pilbara Ports governance processes, procedures and systems. You will provide support to the Corporate Secretary in enhancing corporate governance frameworks and standards. Key aspects of your Assistant Corporate Secretary role will include: Assisting in the development and oversight of systems that ensure Pilbara Ports complies with all applicable codes as well as legal and statutory requirements. Assisting in the co-ordination of Board Committee meetings and strategy events. Preparing agendas papers, minutes and circular resolutions for Board committees. Maintaining Board records and registers including Conflict of Interest, Resolutions and Action Items Registers. Supporting the Corporate Secretary to facilitate implementation of and compliance with governance related policies and procedures. Assisting in the continued improvement of Pilbara Ports Corporate Governance processes with a focus on the Pilbara Ports Governance Improvement Plan. Addressing governance and compliance requirements for annual reports. Supporting calendar management for the Board Chair About You This role is ideally suited to candidates with previous experience in governance, corporate compliance or law. You will be able to demonstrate a strong interest in governance and compliance. Tertiary qualifications in law, commerce, business or a related degree are a requirement. You will possess high level organisational skills, polished written communication skills and demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
