Reporting to the Head of Product Operations, the Quality and Compliance Manager plays a pivotal role within the Operations function, ensuring the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality, and premium tea and related products (including Teaware, accessories and associated packaging) to T2 customers around the world. This role supports the full product lifecycle—driving continuous improvement in quality standards, leading compliance programs, and minimising regulatory and market risk. An essential requirement for this position is deep tea expertise, ideally supported by formal Tea Sommelier certification or equivalent experience in sensory analysis and product evaluation. As the subject matter expert, you will lead sensory assessments, validate flavour profiles against brand benchmarks, and work closely with cross-functional teams to shape product development. Your refined palate and deep understanding of tea origins, processing methods, and ingredient quality will ensure the authenticity and integrity of every T2 blend—across rare, limited edition, organic, herbal, and fruit teas. In addition, this role upholds T2’s broader sustainability, ethical sourcing, and social impact commitments, ensuring that quality management practices are aligned with our values. All team members are expected to participate in Business Continuity and Emergency Management planning and response as part of T2’s operational resilience framework. Key Success Measures Deliver and continuously improve T2’s global Quality Assurance and Compliance strategy and 12-month roadmap. Lead supplier assessment and quality improvement programs, ensuring corrective action and ongoing performance. Ensure all T2 products comply with international regulatory requirements across all markets. Achieve and maintain all relevant certifications, including HACCP, Organics, Halal, and Fairtrade. Reduce customer complaints per million units sold, safeguarding the premium brand experience. What Are We Looking For? 10 years of experience in the tea industry, with formal Tea Sommelier certification or equivalent expertise in sensory evaluation, flavour profiling, and product curation. Proven experience working with premium teas and teaware, including rare, single-origin, organic, and specialty blends, ideally within a high-end retail or luxury brand environment. Strong knowledge of food safety, product quality systems, and regulatory compliance (e.g. HACCP, Fairtrade, organics), including experience managing nutrition declarations and labelling across global markets. Demonstrated capability in compiling and presenting quality reports, budget planning, and implementing quality assurance tools to support business-wide decision-making. A passion for tea culture, craftsmanship, and design, with the ability to support product development that aligns with local and global regulatory requirements across both tea and teaware categories.
