Your opportunity We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join Westfield Marion as our new Facilities Manager. You’ll be responsible for managing and maintaining the centre’s infrastructure, ensuring everything runs safely, smoothly, and meets compliance standards. This is your chance to take ownership of a key asset and help it reach its full potential. You’ll manage a small team, work closely with contractors, and be the go-to person for all things facilities. You’ll also get to plan ahead — creating long-term asset strategies, driving sustainability initiatives, and finding smarter ways to keep things running. It’s a role where you’ll see the impact of your work every day. Your role and responsibilities will include, but not limited to : Lead key facilities initiatives that support our strategy to operate as a safe, sustainable, and responsible business. Deliver high-quality day-to-day facilities services that meet the needs of the Centre team and enhance the customer experience. Use data insights to identify opportunities to improve the asset’s operational and environmental performance. Coach and support the facilities team to perform at their best, building a culture of ownership, safety, and service excellence. Develop and maintain a comprehensive asset life cycle plan, clearly outlining facilities priorities and capital needs. Build strong relationships with contractors and partners to ensure services are delivered to a high standard and in line with expectations. Take the lead in responding to emergencies or incidents in the centre, ensuring accurate reporting and timely escalation in line with our processes. Oversee all maintenance, repair, and capital works projects, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions that support the long-term performance of the centre. As a part of our asset team, you will also have Duty Management responsibilities from time to time too, where you’ll be required to work a weekend shift (on a roster), which will be balanced with a day off in lieu. What sets you apart Relevant experience in retail, hospitality, property, facilities management, or other customer service environment. Strong people leader with proven experience leading teams. Diploma or tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Trade, Building Services or Facilities Management. Commercial expertise to manage financials and provide recommendations on operating and capital costs.
