Our Settlements Consultant will be working with stakeholders to review and manage third-party settlements. This will involve high attention to detail and the ability to negotiate an outcome in the best interest of all parties involved whilst maintaining our high-level customer experience and service. Reporting into the Recoveries, Settlements & Investigations Manager you will be responsible for: Review third party demands and approaches following an accident with our insured parties, either direct or via their representatives. Identify when external expertise is required and engage with GT’s partners such as assessors and related suppliers to seek advice. Understand legal principles, relevant precedents and make informed decisions based upon evidence and legal principles. Reduce unnecessary litigation by responding to claims promptly by making timely offers of settlement and negotiating outcomes. Processing settlement payments to third parties. Skills & Experience: Motor Insurance Claims and third-party settlements experience is highly desired. Previous experience in negotiating settlement outcomes is highly desired. Strong understanding of liability, including apportioned liability. Strong MS365 skills – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word. Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication Ability to build client rapport, problem solve, negotiate and resolve conflict. A team player, who is collaborative and will share their expertise and knowledge for a best practice customer experience.
