u&u Recruitment Partners is excited to partner with a leading national hospitality equipment, furniture and consumables wholesaler to recruit the newly created role of Key Account Manager. The organisation has a strong presence and market share nationally and are set up as a one stop shop to service customers ranging from a small café or restaurant owner to the largest hotels, aged care facilities, hospitals and restaurant chains in the country. Due to growth, the organisation is looking to add to their QLD key account team, with this newly created role focused on winning and managing customers on the northside of Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and north QLD. The role Based on the north side of Brisbane or Sunshine Coast, this position offers the flexibility to work from a home-based office when not on the road and would focus on the following; Building strong working relationships with a range of existing customers to understand their ongoing needs; Actively hunting for new business and acquiring new customers within the region (café’s, surf clubs, restaurants, aged care, hotels etc); Developing a strong understanding of customer needs and providing recommendations and solutions that meet these; Conducting product demonstrations in the company’s showrooms; Providing customers with competitive and on time quotes which are followed up and closed; Keeping up to date and accurate customer records and following a regular call plan; Conducting monthly alternating customer trips to north and central QLD; and Building strong working relationships with your peer group and internal stakeholders. Required skills / Experience Prior sales or account management experience in the hospitality supplies, FMCG or food & beverage sector (preferred); Demonstrated understanding or practical experience in the hospitality sector; Highly motivated with a proven ability to develop new business and win new accounts; Prior experience in a role that requires quoting and following up to negotiate and close sales; Proactive, reliable, well organised and capable of working autonomously; Well-developed oral and written communication skills; Sound computer skills; Have a current driver's licence; and Willing to spend approximately 2-3 nights away per month.
