As we continue to grow, we're looking for a passionate and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities Carry out scheduled servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles Perform MOT-style inspections and assess vehicle condition between required inspections Identify faults in mechanical systems including brakes, engines, gearboxes, and electrics Fit and replace clutches, springs, brakes, tyres, and other mechanical parts Rebuild engines and gearboxes when needed Convert engines to liquid petroleum gas (LPG) Conduct road testing of new or repaired vehicles Customize vehicles to meet client specifications Tune engines and order replacement parts as required Fit radios and internal components Accurately advise customers on vehicle conditions and necessary repairs Respond to breakdowns with efficient on-site repairs Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization in the workshop What You Need to Succeed Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent Minimum 2 years of hands-on workshop experience Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills across a wide range of vehicles Sound knowledge of modern vehicle systems and technologies Valid Australian Driver’s Licence Own tools preferred (negotiable) Well presented and punctual Able to work independently and within a team Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions What We Offer Competitive hourly rate (negotiable based on experience) Full-time hours with overtime available Supportive team environment Career development opportunities and potential for ongoing training Job security with a well-established company How to Apply Send your resume and a brief cover letter to jdtranspty@gmail.com JD Trans Pty Ltd Keeping your wheels turning.
