As a result of global expansion, the business is now expanding into Australia and this is your chance to join at the ground level. The company is preparing to launch an innovative therapy for neuromuscular diseases, with a particular focus on autoimmune conditions that significantly impact quality of life. As they expand their local presence, they're looking for an experienced medical affairs professional in QLD to play a pivotal role in pre-launch strategy and scientific engagement. This is a unique opportunity to help build the local medical function from scratch. You'll be part of a small, collaborative team that values a patient-first mindset, scientific excellence and a culture that encourages learning, development and professional growth. Reporting To The Medical Director, your responsibilities will include: Building strong and meaningful partnerships with KOLs in neurology, immunology and rare diseases Leading pre-launch engagement and supporting the local execution of medical strategy in QLD Representing the company at major scientific conferences and engaging with clinical trial sites Using evidence-based communication to build advocacy and influence external decision-makers Bringing external insights back into the business to help shape go-to-market strategies To be successful in this role, you will have: A degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field (postgraduate qualifications are a plus) Previous experience in medical affairs or as an MSL within the pharmaceutical industry Therapeutic experience or interest in rare disease, neurology, immunology, rheumatology or haematology Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior clinical stakeholders A proactive, adaptable, hands-on approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment If you're passionate about science, eager to make an impact, and looking for a truly meaningful role where your voice matters - this is your opportunity to be part of a globally respected biotech as they launch in Australia.
