ConsultANZ is looking for a Zone Manager for major bulk earthworks projects with a top civil contractor in New Zealand's North Island. This is an exciting opportunity for senior civil professionals who are ready to take on a key leadership role in a major road infrastructure development. Main Duties: Lead earthworks operations across a designated project zone, ensuring efficient and high-quality delivery Plan and implement mass haul diagrams for optimized material movement Manage and monitor the performance and productivity of heavy earthmoving equipment Collaborate with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to meet project milestones Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards Track zone progress, adjust plans as needed, and report to senior management Troubleshoot onsite issues and ensure timely resolution Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field 10 years’ experience in bulk earthworks Prior experience managing machinery-heavy operations and large teams Strong knowledge of earthmoving equipment capabilities and haul planning Proven ability to interpret and use mass haul diagrams for strategic planning Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills Benefits: Competitive salary: $130,000 – $160,000 vehicle (negotiable based on experience) Permanent role with long-term stability and career growth Be part of a culturally diverse and supportive team Opportunity to work on nationally significant infrastructure projects Apply Now Interested?
