Position Overview The Industrial Engineering Technologist will play a vital role in enhancing DNS Removals’ operational efficiency through the development, implementation and optimisation of equipment, systems and processes. This role involves supporting the design and improvement of logistics workflows, handling technologies, storage solutions and fleet management practices. Duties and Responsibilities Research and recommend advanced handling, loading, storage and logistics technologies to support safe and efficient removals. Modify and improve existing systems and tools used for transport, packing, lifting and storage to enhance operational effectiveness. Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to develop and implement engineering-based solutions for complex relocation challenges. Conduct testing and performance evaluations of lifting equipment, packing systems and transport technologies. Carry out inspections and audits to ensure compliance with relevant safety, transport and storage regulations and standards. Assist in the implementation of inventory tracking and fleet optimisation systems to improve resource management. Provide technical support and guidance to operations staff in the correct use of modified or new equipment and systems. Document engineering activities, including testing results, equipment modifications and compliance reports. Identify opportunities to reduce manual handling risks, streamline workflows and improve customer service delivery through the application of practical engineering solutions. Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a closely related field At least 3 years of full-time experience in a similar role Strong understanding of logistics operations, transport systems and materials handling Practical experience with transport equipment, mechanical lifting systems or warehouse/storage technologies is highly desirable Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to apply technical knowledge to real-world operational challenges Familiarity with workplace safety standards and quality control processes Salary : $80,000 Superannuation
