The Role In this Industrial Designer role, you’ll take ownership of the entire development lifecycle of your designs, bringing them from initial brief through the full process to successful outcome. Reporting to and working closely with the Design Engineering Lead you will: Conceptualise & build cutting-edge products, adhering to the company's design language Oversee the entire product journey, from concept to launch Work cross-functionally to integrate complex engineering concepts into designs Communicate with stakeholders, manufacturers and suppliers and manage project outcomes Manage technical aspects, ensuring feasibility & design integrity Develop & maintain accurate BOMs, assembly instructions and CAD models Present impressive design concepts and solutions through modelling, rendering and prototyping Skills and experience Bachelor’s degree in a relevant product/industrial design discipline Minimum of 5 years’ relevant professional experience Portfolio showcasing your creativity, problem solving, design process and presentation skills Experience in Solidworks, Adobe Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Keyshot Experience in complex surface modelling Strong ideation, sketching and product rendering skills Diverse experience in design for manufacture with knowledge of various manufacturing techniques Excellent task and time management skills You would excel in a high empowerment, fast paced environment, surrounded by likeminded, high achieving people An abundance of ambition and motivation to grow the company and compete with the big players in the industry Australian citizenship preferred for security level clearance requirements Benefits New design studio and manufacturing facility Culture of collaboration and exploration, encouraging you to develop ideas and potential new products Growth opportunity Whole product evolutionary cycle Ownership of work from start to finish - all aspects of design ideation and components/systems Multi-disciplined team environment Liaison with local and overseas suppliers and manufacturing partners Free coffee, food, phone costs Centrally located close to transport links N.B.
