About the Role As a Mental Health Clinician, you are an experienced practitioner who will be a part of the Supporting Minds team. In this role you will deliver intervention as a part of a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) which aligns with the strategic goals of Mental Health Services and Wesley Mission Queensland (WMQ). Whilst this role will be based at Arundel, as an employee of WMQ, you may be required to work across multiple community co-location sites and multiple customer groups. Key Role Accountabilities: Utilise discipline specific skills, professional mental health knowledge and clinical decision-making abilities to develop individual treatment and care plans for customers within the scope of the service. Provide evidence based therapeutic interventions offering a mix of modalities best suited to a person’s needs for total service duration of up to 12 weeks e.g. CBT, DBT, ACT coaching, psycho-education, self-management strategies, family therapy, narrative therapy, interpersonal/supportive psychotherapy. Provide a clinical mental health service for a wide range of activities to customer from various backgrounds and funding arrangements. Deliver both individual, up to 6 sessions, and group programs; face to face, telehealth, online or blended Provide holistic customer interventions that may include education to support networks and supervision to other disciplines. Access to training for professional development and to support with maintain accreditation . About You Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Counselling or Nursing. Demonstrated experience building relationships with and supporting people experiencing mental illness and/or suicidal crisis, and their carers. Cultural competence working with LGBTIQAP community Demonstrated ability and proficiency in the timely receipting, appropriate documenting and accurate record keeping into computerised programs. Demonstrated high level of verbal and written communication skills particularly in establishing and maintaining rapport with staff, customers and their carers. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a multi-disciplinary team member. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage individual caseload whilst meeting service and customer needs. Demonstrated ability to recognise other needs that WMQ can assist customers with and provide relevant and timely referrals. What makes a difference for us!
