About the Role If you’re seeking a career that combines compassion with rewarding work, or you’re just starting out and looking for a pathway into the care industry, this role is perfect for you! You will be enrolled into a WMQ Traineeship Program and Certificate III in Individual Support qualification, leading to competence in the provision of innovative community and home-based care and support services to a variety of customer’s with individual and varying needs and providing direct support to customer’s living in the community. Key Role Accountabilities: With every day offering new challenges and opportunities to grow, you’ll be part of a supportive and inspiring team dedicated to creating a brighter future for individuals and communities. Participate in all assigned WMQ induction and onboarding programs and mandatory training including allocated Workplace Health and Safety training. Demonstrate commitment to working towards achieving a Certificate III in Individual Support. Undertake any training and assessments in the Training Plan. Attend scheduled Registered Training Organisation (RTO) training at WMQ locations. Complete on-the-job vocational placement assessment activities in a timely manner. Successful completion of the Certificate III in Individual Support qualification will conclude the WMQ Traineeship and lead to continuing employment as a qualified Care Worker – Care Stream Level 3 adhering to all outlined appointment factors. About You Customer service skills with a demonstrated desire to help people with sensitivity and understanding. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills at a level to understand instructions received and be understood. Ability and willingness to work in residences that contain household pets. Willingness to obtain a driver’s licence during traineeship period to meet Care Worker – Level 3 requirements. Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the principles and practices of privacy, confidentiality and professional boundaries in relation to all customers and staff.
