Address: 1/62 Dacre Street, Mitchell, ACT 2911 Main Duties and Responsibilities The appointee undertakes to perform all tasks assigned for the position of a Carpenter efficiently and accurately. Such tasks will include but are not limited to: Looking at blueprints and instructions to figure out what materials are needed, the sizes required, and installation procedures. Coordinate and support operations to align with ongoing construction activities. Purchasing and choosing timber and materials, as well as creating layouts. Install prefabricated structures made from processed wood. Using a combination of machinery and hand tools like a table saw, power sander, circular saw, chisels, and hammer, to cut, shape, and craft timber. Inspect finished units to ensure they are level, square, properly aligned, and meet the correct size, shape, and location requirements. Fitting together and securing cut and shaped pieces with nails. Help with concrete pouring tasks as instructed. Be mindful of safety concerns, particularly when performing tasks at heights. Ensure a good level of housekeeping is maintained across the whole site. Personal & Professional Attributes Certificate III in Carpentry At least one year of experience in a similar role is required. Enthusiastic and motivated individual. Able to work in a team and autonomously. Friendly, positive, and approachable attitude. Adherence to OH&S regulations.
