About the Role We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Manager - Asset Planning & Performance to join us in our Power & Electricity Transmission team Brisbane, QLD on a Permanent Full Time Contract. Reporting to the Head of Power Strategy, Growth & Optimisation, you will play a key role in managing business unit strategy, performance, asset lifecycle planning, and long-term works programs. As the Asset Planning and Performance Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our long-term asset strategy; ensuring our power generating and electricity transmission assets are planned, maintained, and operated to deliver maximum value. You’ll collaborate across engineering, operations and commercial teams to develop asset plans that balance reliability, value and sustainability. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of asset lifecycle strategies and long-term investment plans. Drive commercial strategies to maximise asset value (e.g. gas management, PPA optimisation), and support asset budgeting and project prioritisation. Drive data-informed decision-making using performance metrics and predictive analytics. Collaborate with stakeholders to align asset plans with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Oversee cost control, governance and reporting for capital works programs and long-term maintenance planning. Lead long-term planning such as 3-year outage schedules, yearly business plans, and asset model reviews to ensure financial accuracy. Support the development and integration of new assets, through the analysis and understanding of impact of new assets on existing plant Your background Degree in Engineering, Asset Management, or related field. Experience in thermal power generation operations Proven leadership capability and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement Extensive experience in strategic asset management within the energy or power sector. Strong capability in developing and implementing long-term business plans and commercial strategies. Proven expertise in budgeting, capital planning, and whole-of-life asset management. Skilled in energy modelling, scenario planning, and supporting investment decisions.
