The role: Vow is looking for a passionate Technician to join our Food Manufacturing team on a 2-4 week contract. In this hands-on role, you’ll help to produce entirely new kinds of delicious food, made in a new way at our purpose-built facility in Alexandria, Sydney. You’ll play a key role in day-to-day food production: following detailed processes, operating equipment, and making sure everything runs smoothly, safely, and to a high standard. It’s careful, considered work that requires patience, precision and a strong sense of ownership. You’ll be part of a cross-functional company that includes chefs, scientists, and engineers all working together to deliver food that’s as thoughtful as it is delicious. Preferred Skills and Experience: Strong attention to detail and commitment to following standard operating procedures. Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues. A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced production environment. Previous experience as a production operator in a food manufacturing environment and familiarity with operating and maintaining food production equipment would be ideal but not a must. Experience with or Knowledge of HACCP plans, Quality Management Systems (ISO9001, ISO13485 or similar) or GMP standards, ideal but not a must You will: Machine Operation: Operate production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures to meet production targets. Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform regular cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance tasks to ensure the efficiency and hygiene of production equipment. Quality Assurance: Monitor product quality during production, conduct inspections, and report any deviations from quality standards to the Production Supervisor. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, use personal protective equipment, and report any safety concerns promptly. Process Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, production output, and any deviations from standard procedures. Collaboration: Work closely with the Production Supervisor and other team members to achieve daily production goals and address any operational issues. Training and Development: Participate in training programs to enhance skills and stay updated on new production processes and technologies.
