About the Role As a Research Coordinator you will work to enhance the implementation, coordination and operational effectiveness of research projects and partnerships. This includes providing a whole of lifecycle approach to project management, including the translation of outcomes and findings into service delivery. The Research Coordinator will also work with internal and external stakeholders to support the targeted and sustainable growth of WMQ’s research agenda. This includes working with stakeholders to plan, source and deliver high-impact opportunities aligned with WMQ’s vision, mission, values and strategic plan, building staff research capabilities and working across WMQ to build and leverage the evidence base to achieve WMQ’s strategic objectives. Key Role Accountabilities: Develop and implement a whole of life cycle approach to support WMQ staff and other stakeholders to source, plan, implement and leverage research projects and partnerships in accordance with required standards of timeliness, quality and budget. Support the targeted, sustainable growth of WMQ’s research agenda, including working with stakeholders to develop, deliver and leverage high-impact opportunities to support WMQ’s strategic objectives. Work collaboratively with the Consulting General Manager – Social Impacts & Outcomes and WMQ staff to support and advance WMQ’s research program and positioning within the sector. Provide a liaison between research partners and WMQ’s service areas to support ethical, high-quality research practice. Review the literature and evidence base to identify and progress relevant research and funding opportunities aligned to WMQ’s strategic objectives. Maintain an ongoing compliance and monitoring role to ensure WMQ is partnering in and producing high-quality research that delivers for WMQ’s customers, staff and other stakeholders and meets appropriate governance standards. Build the capability of WMQ’s staff to partner in strategic, high-quality and ethical research that delivers for WMQ’s customers, staff and other stakeholders. Conduct research activities and adhoc projects, as agreed between project partners and Director – Governance, Performance & Outcomes and the Consulting General Manager – Social Impacts & Outcomes. Demonstrate relationship building and negotiation skills including the ability to manage the competing needs of multiple stakeholders and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and accountability. About You Experience in managing and/or coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders in accordance with clear timelines and governance requirements. Experience working in the human and health services industry. Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to work in a team environment and complete work within deadlines and to a very high standard. Demonstrated knowledge of (and experience with) the ethics and other governance requirements that apply to research projects within the human and health services sector. Proven high level research, analytical and writing skills, including literature reports, summaries and/or other written materials, as required. Demonstrated experience in undertaking quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including the use of relevant data and/or project management software (for example, PowerBI) and the ability to learn new software, if required. High proficiency in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships and using influencing skills to source, implement and leverage opportunities and improve practice. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain rapport with both internal and external stakeholders.
