We are recruiting a Compliance Manager for a licensed Australian cryptocurrency investment firm located in St Kilda Rd Melbourne. The role is full time on site. The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the company’s operations adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. This role is pivotal in managing compliance risks and ensuring that the business remains compliant with obligations under the Corporations Act, AFSL conditions, AML/CTF laws, and ASIC/ATO regulatory frameworks, particularly as they relate to digital assets and cryptocurrency. Key Responsibilities • Regulatory Compliance:• Policy & Procedure Development• Monitoring & Auditing• AML/CTF Oversight• Training & Education• Incident Management • Liaison & Reporting• Advisory Role Key Selection Criteria • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field. • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a compliance role within a financial services firm; crypto industry experience highly regarded. • Strong knowledge of the Australian regulatory environment, including the Corporations Act, ASIC RGs, AML/CTF obligations, and digital asset regulation. • Experience working within an AFSL environment. • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them in a commercial setting. • High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail. • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Experience with compliance software and reporting tools is advantageous. Desirable Qualifications RG146 compliance training or diploma in financial planning/compliance. • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., GRC Institute, ACAMS). • Familiarity with blockchain technology and digital assets regulation globally.
