Join Our Team as a Junior Kindy Lead Educator Are you an experienced and passionate early childhood educator looking for a meaningful role in a supportive environment? Thornlands Play and Learn , a well-established early learning centre in the Thornlands community, is seeking a Junior Kindy Lead Educator to join our dedicated team. This part-time role focuses on leading engaging, play-based learning experiences for children aged 2 to 3 years in our Junior Kindy program. You will also provide support across other age groups when needed. What You’ll Be Doing: Planning and delivering high-quality, play-based educational programs tailored to each child's interests and developmental stage Creating a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth Observing and documenting children’s learning progress and sharing meaningful updates with families Working collaboratively with a passionate team to ensure consistency in educational practices and philosophies Maintaining accurate records and upholding all centre policies and regulatory requirements Actively participating in professional learning to enhance your practice and contribute to our centre's continuous improvement What We’re Looking For: A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) Availability between 6:15am – 6:15pm, Monday to Friday (part-time hours within that window) Strong communication and relationship-building skills with children, families and colleagues A solid understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and a commitment to child-led, play-based learning Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management A valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one) What We Offer: A supportive, close-knit team that values your contribution and growth Competitive salary and access to discounted childcare for your own children Ongoing professional development and training opportunities A commitment to work-life balance and educator wellbeing A nurturing workplace that prioritises collaboration, inclusion and respect About Us: Thornlands Play and Learn is a privately owned, accredited early learning centre operating 51 weeks a year (closed for Christmas).
