10 Aug 2025 Description The Head of Business Services is a senior leadership role, responsible for overseeing the core operational, commercial, and administrative functions of the organisation. This role will drive financial sustainability, optimise organisational performance, and lead strategic projects that support membership growth, participation, and innovation. Key Responsibilities Business Operations & Organisational Leadership Lead the day-to-day business services of Bowls NSW, including finance, HR, governance, and risk management Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and resource management to ensure long-term sustainability Manage relationships with key suppliers and service providers Support Board reporting processes and ensure compliance with governance frameworks Oversee Club Governance matters by providing timely and professional advice to clubs Lead internal process improvement and innovation to drive efficiency and effectiveness Oversee the National Integrity Framework in NSW Strategic Project Delivery Support the CEO in driving key strategic initiatives aligned to the Bowls NSW strategic plan, including: Revenue diversification Membership growth and participation projects Organisational modernisation initiatives Work closely with other Heads of Department to ensure cross-functional alignment Stakeholder Engagement Represent Bowls NSW at events, conferences, and meetings with key stakeholders including clubs, regional associations, government bodies, and partners Collaborate with the CEO and communications team to enhance the profile and impact of Bowls NSW People & Culture Lead and mentor direct reports across multiple functional areas Foster a high-performing, values-driven culture Oversee HR practices, including recruitment, performance management, and staff development (in partnership with external HR advisors where relevant) About You You are a proactive, commercially savvy leader with a passion for sport, community, and business excellence. You thrive in dynamic environments, are comfortable working across varied portfolios, and have a proven track record of delivering strategic projects and organisational improvements.
