We are seeking a Resourcing Officer to provide support for our Operational Logistics Department. This is a Full Time, Permanent position based out of South Melbourne. About the role Reporting to the Lead Daily Desk, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to: Allocate appropriate staff skill mix to Public Event shift vacancies to ensure operational resource requirements are met in a timely, efficient and effective manner Coordinate rostering of operational employees during major events, ensuring on- going organisational resource requirements are met Ensure Public Event shift vacancies are filled in accordance with relevant Award provisions and AV policies Update and maintain data in Roster system to ensure staff rostering is accurately recorded and available for management reporting purposes Make informed resource decisions and provide specialist advice within the parameters of AV policies, procedures and Industrial Awards & Agreements About you To be considered for this position you will possess a degree or relevant industry certification with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and relevant experience. Other requirements include: Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of operational shift patterns and working environment Experience in interpreting and applying Award provisions as they relate to rostering and relevant Enterprise Agreements Experience scheduling in a shift work environment and sound knowledge of rostering systems and processes Experience using Rostering software Planning and organising skills to enable appropriate allocation of staff to shifts Well-developed decision making and problem solving skills to enable the identification of issues and the judgement to determine appropriate courses of action Working at Ambulance Victoria As a valued member of AV you will enjoy a professional working environment that recognises the importance of work/life balance.
