The Role Bega’s Koroit site manufactures a range of dairy products including skimmed and full cream milk powders, buttermilk powders, milk protein concentrate, lactoferrin powder, retail milk powders, anhydrous milk fat, liquid cream and butter. The site produces a staggering 35 tonnes of lactoferrin extract annually. Lactoferrin is a naturally occurring iron building protein found in milk, and it is regarded for its anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties. You will be responsible for ensuring all production functions are carried out in an effective, efficient and timely manner and for delivering product safely, of the highest quality, at the lowest cost, with minimal waste in the correct quantity. Previous knowledge of this is not required to be successful in the role. The candidate is required to work 12-hour shift, 4 on - 4 off, 2 days from 6AM to 6PM, 2 nights from 6PM to 6AM. Responsibilities Safe setup and operation of all equipment in allocated area Report all safety, quality and environmental incidents and issues Accurate completion and recording of all quality, testing, and production related documentation; work effectively and efficiently to reduce downtime Training staff and assisting with assessment as required Collaboration with Cross Functional teams About you Previous experience in a Production Operator role, FMCG background desirable Ability to work without supervision and take direction as required Positive attitude, attention to detail, and eagerness to develop Good communication skills and ability to work and collaborate in a team Strong mechanically minded and problem-solving skill.
