Primary Location VIC - Clayton Job Description Summary Join our growing Transport division at Service Stream! About the Role Service Stream are now delivering routine maintenance and defect rectification works, and refurbishment and upgrade projects under a major long-term contract with the Victorian Government (Metropolitan Victorian Road Maintenance Contract ( VRMC ) - South Central Region). We have opportunities for Road Maintenance Workers to join our team in permanent roles based out of our Clayton depot! Working under the direction of our Supervisors, in crews of 2-4 people, you will be critical in delivering services under this contract. Key responsibilities: Performing rapid response to incidents and emergencies across the network. Carrying out scheduled routine servicing and hazard and defect rectification works for pavements, bridges and other structural assets, and all roadside assets (barriers, signage, vegetation). Completing all works with a strong focus on safety, quality and efficiency. Recording works-related data in the field, in line with work instructions, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Participating in daily pre-start and shift-close meetings, contributing ideas for changes and improvements in work practices to enhance safety and efficiency. About you Our ideal candidates will have: Experience working as part of a crew maintaining pavements, bridges and other structural assets, and/or roadside assets (barriers, signage, vegetation). TMA experience preferred but not essential. Road safety barrier (Guard Rail/WRSB) preferred. Flocon operator/experience preferred Ability to be a committed team player who drives for service excellence and continuous improvement. A track record of working with a relentless focus on worker, road user and community safety. High levels of self-motivation, exceptional time-management skills and a proven ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. Sound digital and data management skills, including familiarity with field applications for works management. Formal qualifications (Cert III or higher) in civil construction are a bonus, but not essential if you can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and capability.
