Salvos Stores are looking for a skilled Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations at the new Project Boomerang site, a cutting-edge circular economy facility in Carole Park . Reporting to the Boomerang Implementation Manager , this is a 2-year Max-term full-time role. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing machine operators, volunteers and production schedules. You’ll manage equipment operation, coordinate workflow, and optimise inventory and output in a high-tech environment while supporting Australia’s move toward a more sustainable future. YOUR ROLE As Operations Supervisor, you will: Lead a team of operators and volunteers across daily production Operate and maintain specialised textile sorting and processing equipment Align production schedules with demand forecasts and inventory targets Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure software integration runs smoothly Drive a safety-first, high-performance culture You will also work closely with the Business Development Manager to analyse market trends, forecast demand, and help shape our processes. ABOUT YOU You will bring: Operations leadership experience in a production or manufacturing setting. Strong technical maintenance knowledge (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic). Proven ability to lead people and drive process improvement. Confidence with IT systems and production software. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Bonus if you have: Experience with circular economy or sustainable fashion. Knowledge of textile recycling or fibre composition. Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field (or Trade Cert). A current forklift licence. Bachelor's degree in IT or in a similar field.
