The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Payroll Lead to lead and manage our payroll operations across Australia. As the Payroll Lead, you’ll lead and inspire a dedicated payroll team to ensure seamless, accurate, and timely payroll operations for all Claro employees. This role is essential in maintaining compliance and delivering precise payroll processing in line with our established schedules. You’ll oversee a skilled team of payroll specialists, responsible for managing around 2,000 payees across monthly and fortnightly cycles, providing the critical support and leadership needed to keep our payroll processes efficient and reliable. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on our team and employees nationwide. You will be responsible for, but not limited to: Lead a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance, training, and support. Accurate and timely full end to end payroll processing for 2 pay cycles (fortnightly and monthly) Implement and improve payroll systems, policies, and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy Drive Payroll Excellence – drive high quality outcomes through payroll function & process reviews/recommendations and change initiatives to streamline processes & improve controls Address and resolve payroll-related queries or issues raised by employees or other departments End of Month/Quarter/Year reconciliation and reporting Develop, promote and maintain open communication and good working relationship with People Services, I.T. and other internal stakeholders Preparation & lodgement of statutory reporting e.g PAYG, STP, Superannuation, Payroll Tax, Portable Long Service Leave Foster a fun, inclusive and supportive team environment aligned with company values.
