Townsville Grammar School is one of the original Grammar Schools of Queensland. The Year 7-12 campus is located on the original site at North Ward. The School also operates two Junior School campuses, both offering Pre-Prep to Year 6, at Annandale and North Shore. We are seeking a casual (up to 15 hours per week) Teacher Aide who can bring creative flair and practical skills to support the vibrant Performing Arts faculty at our School. This exciting position involves assisting with costumes, props, displays, and backstage support for school productions, events and class assessments. You'll contribute to the success of drama, dance, and co-curricular performances by sewing, sourcing, maintaining and organising materials used across the faculty. In this role, you will: Create, maintain and prepare costumes and props for a range of performances and events. Assist with repairs, laundering and storage of costume items. Support students and staff with technical or backstage needs, including lighting and performance set up. Maintain inventories, organise storage areas and contribute to themed displays. Be part of a collaborative and passionate performing arts team. Ideally you will have: Sewing and garment repair skills. Creative flair for costume design, painting or prop making. Experience in theatre or production support (preferred). Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings for performances. A proactive, supportive approach to working with students and staff.
