Key Accountabilities/Duties: The Senior Management Accountant will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining all aspects of Council's Management Accounting systems to ensure legislative compliance and the accurate and timely lodgement of Council's statutory reports and returns. This will include: Co-ordinate Council’s Budget including preparation of the annual budget documents, quarterly budget review reports for inclusion in Council Reports and Integrated Planning and reporting documents. Administering Council’s Management Accounting system, Magiq Performance Provide financial analysis and/or assessment of financial scenarios for specific projects as required. Provide support, advice and training to Council staff in their understanding and use of Council’s Management Accounting system. Degree majoring in Accounting or equivalent Extensive experience in a similar role Demonstrated experience in budgeting and financial management High-level analytical skills, problem-solving, and business acumen A thorough understanding of Local Government in NSW or capacity to rapidly acquire this knowledge What We Offer: Valuable on-the-job training and development opportunities.
