The key duties of the position include The Role The Human Resources Transformation Branch (HRTB) has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and professional candidate to join the Program Reform Office (PRO). We are looking for a HR/Project Support Officer. This role is not a traditional HR Officer role. The role will provide support for human resources initiatives and projects. This role requires a combination of HR knowledge and project management skills to contribute to the successful execution of HR strategies and objectives. Your key responsibilities involve the coordination and to support the delivery of HR project activities by maintaining project schedules/deliverables and reporting across all phases, liaise with stakeholders and project teams, and ensure quality and consistent project artefacts and deliverables. About our Team The HRTB supports the Defence People Group (DPG) transition to Defence's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program, developing and delivering related HR and Education Training reform initiatives, and Human Resource Information System (HRIS) road mapping, and is the steward of Defence's HR data. The Program Reform Office within the HRTB has been established to manage and support the delivery of transformation and reform activities, including delivery of the One Defence People System program of work. The Branch supports three strategic Defence priorities: Defence Strategic Review (DSR) -Support Defence's investment in the growth and retention of a highly skilled workforce, and simplifying and improving HR systems and processes. One Defence People System Deliver a single integrated HR operating model to help Defence people. Our Ideal Candidate The Branch is entering an exciting time, with the development of the enterprise view of HR transformation progressing and the implementation phase of HR and Education and Training reform now underway. The role would be suited to individuals who: Possess strong organisation/project management skills in order to plan, track and manage project schedules, trackers and registers for multiple projects. Are flexible and adaptable with the ability to work well with ambiguity and changing environments and responds well to shifting priorities or evolving project requirements. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholder at all levels. Have an understanding of HR processes and systems with the ability to translate HR needs into project activities/requirements. Strong attention to detail to ensure consistency and quality across project artefacts, to track dependencies and identify inconsistencies or gaps early. Process strong analytic and problem solving skills to proactively identify and escalate risks/issues and take initiative to improve processes or find efficiencies.
