Treehouse Adelaide will soon bloom — the first Treehouse Hotel in Asia Pacific, following the wildly successful launch of 1 Hotel Melbourne. Now, we’re seeking a Pre-Opening General Manager — a storyteller, a steward, and a soulful leader to help us bring Treehouse Adelaide to life. About the Role As our first Treehouse GM in the region, you’ll lead all facets of hotel operations with passion, clarity, and joy. You'll build and guide a team of kind-hearted professionals and ensure every guest interaction feels delightfully unscripted, grounded in care, and rich in authenticity. You’ll also: • Develop and execute the hotel’s pre-opening strategy and ongoing operational roadmap • Champion Treehouse’s brand values, ethos, and design-forward sensibility • Inspire department leaders through coaching, collaboration, and a little fun along the way • Oversee guest satisfaction, financial performance, and team engagement • Build strong partnerships within the local community and market • Foster an evolving workplace culture that prioritises well-being, inclusion, and growth What You Bring • At least 10 years’ experience in upscale or lifestyle hotel operations • Pre-opening experience a plus — you love building from the ground up • A warm, confident presence that naturally draws people in • A deep love for guest experience, design, and team culture • The ability to balance heart and head: people leadership and business acumen in harmony • A curious, creative spirit and a willingness to reimagine the way things are done • Availability to lead a 24/7 operation with energy and empathy Who We Are At Starwood Hotels, we’re writing a new chapter — bold, sustainable, human, and growth-oriented.
