We are now seeking a Chief People Officer to join our Executive Team and lead a future-focused, values-driven People and Culture strategy. In this critical role, you will directly influence the wellbeing and connectedness of the people who live and work within Arcare’s residences. About the Role As Chief People Officer, you will provide strategic counsel to the CEO and Executive, lead a high-performing People & Culture team, and champion initiatives that bring our values and relationship-centred philosophy to life. You will drive cultural alignment, enable business growth, build leadership capability, and create an environment where people can thrive. Key Responsibilities Shape and implement Arcare’s People & Culture strategy to support business growth and alignment with our Relationship-First model Guide strategic workforce planning, talent attraction and retention, digital capability uplift, and the delivery of a compelling employee value proposition Lead and coach a team of P&C professionals across recruitment, learning and development, workplace relations, business partnering and work, health and safety Use people analytics and workforce insights to support executive decision-making and drive operational outcomes Support operational leaders through transformation, performance, and change Foster inclusion, engagement and a respectful, supportive workplace culture Represent Arcare in EBA negotiations and manage complex IR/ER matters with integrity and confidence About You You are a senior HR executive with experience leading people functions in large, complex organisations. You bring clarity, empathy and strategic thinking — and you know how to mobilise people around purpose and values. You also bring: Extensive experience leading a national HR function, ideally in aged care, health, or a similarly complex sector Deep knowledge of IR/ER, WHS, compliance, workforce planning, and organisational design The ability to translate insight into action and culture into a business advantage Sound understanding of employment legislation across VIC, NSW, ACT and QLD A values-led leadership style that aligns with Arcare’s focus on relationships and individual uniqueness Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or a related discipline Apply Now It really is our people and culture that set us apart, with our ongoing focus of working together as one team.
