We are a growing law firm with two offices in the Brisbane region and one in Cairns CBD. We practice in a discrete range of areas including Criminal Law, Family Law, Wills and Estates, and Domestic and Family Violence. This role is based in our Cairns Office. Travel between our Brisbane and Cairns offices may be required and to various Courts, as necessary. We are looking to recruit an ambitious, motivated, and self-driven solicitor that can hit the ground running. At a minimum, 2 years post-admission experience in Criminal Law is required. Experience and an interest in DV, Family Law and Wills and Estate Law is advantageous but not essential. The successful applicant will have a good work ethic and professionalism, be able to work autonomously and as part of a team, manage their own file list, and handle a large volume of files. To be considered for this position it is essential that you have: Minimum 2 years PAE in Criminal Law; Ability to work autonomously A comprehensive understanding and passion for Criminal law; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to multi-task and prioritise; Interest in building and developing client relationships; Great attention to detail; Experience appearing at Court; A highly organised and proactive approach to clients and files; and An ability to follow firm procedures and protocols.
