Job description About Us The Katherine Women’s Crisis Centre (KWCC) is a dedicated organisation committed to supporting women and children affected by domestic, family, and sexual violence across the greater Katherine region. Our team fosters a safe, confidential, and culturally respectful environment that promotes healing, empowerment, and advocacy. About the Program The Women’s Shelter (Crisis Accommodation Centre) is a core program of KWCC, operating 24/7 to provide crisis accommodation and holistic support to women and children escaping violence. Our services include: 48-hour crisis response Supported crisis accommodation Risk assessment and safety planning Case management Psychoeducation on domestic, family, and sexual violence Advocacy and empowerment This role operates on a rotating 7-day roster, including day, evening, and overnight shifts. Key Selection Criteria We are seeking a compassionate and resilient female Support/Case Worker who can walk alongside women and children in their journey toward safety and recovery. The ideal candidate will have: A Diploma or higher qualification in Community Services (or related field), or equivalent experience Proven experience in case management Strong understanding of risk assessment and safety planning Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Effective advocacy skills In-depth knowledge of domestic, family, and sexual violence and its impacts Experience delivering culturally appropriate, trauma-informed, client-centred support What We Offer 5 weeks annual leave Ongoing professional development and supervision Salary packaging benefits Remote area allowance, leave loading, penalty rates, and sleepover allowance Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Please note: This is a female-identified position in accordance with the special measures provision under Section 57 of the NT Anti-Discrimination Act.
