The key deliverable of the Global Program Director (GPD) is to ensure a profitable and long-term relationship with CWT’s Global clients. This requires a focus on optimising the client value from its travel program, whilst ensuring CWT profitability targets are achieved. The position requires a strategic approach to the complexities of global programs, providing thought leadership, business planning, and the provision of high level contract and relationship management to the client. A key part of the role is the direction, management and co- ordination of the client countries bringing mutual benefit to both CWT and our clients. The support and guidance to the Regional & National Account Managers (NAM) is an integral part of the role as well as the up-selling of additional products, services and markets to the account. Job Description 1 – Optimize Client Relationships • Ensures a balance that optimizes the value clients realize from their travel program with the profitability CWT attains with the account. • Ensures and optimizes account profitability. • Optimizes client value. • Develops, with CWT Solutions and other key CWT lines of business a proposition to sell to the client to effect further optimization of client value whilst improving CWT profitability - Proactively demonstrates to the client the benefits of Program Optimization. • Delivers consolidated key performance indicators internally & externally. • Supports Regional & National Account Managers in achieving the same shared goals, locally and globally. • Develops a close and sustainable client relationship. 2 – Client Activity • Develops and manages regular program management reviews and an annual client program optimization plan (Business Plan). • Undertakes the Diagnostic process to identify opportunities to optimize the client program further to meet both client & CWT objectives. • Arranges and supervises any and all interactions with the client to optimize each line of business. • Demonstrates the overall benefit of partnering with CWT. • Identifies and implements best practices. • Responsible for overall contract management and client retention. • Ensures service delivery in line with contractual obligations. Up-selling Responsibilities • Extends existing relationship beyond existing products, countries and regions. • Identifies any additional revenue streams for CWT. Job Qualifications • Master degree preferred. • 5-7 years proven experience in global account management in a world class environment. • English fluent\: written and oral. • Abilities to deal within a multicultural environment. • Ability to build and present a business plan to the client and internally. • Writing skills for client and senior management facing documents. • Word, Excel, PowerPoint. • Understanding of IT tools and processes and their impact on travel programs. • Financial, analytical, and strategic skills. • Negotiation skills. • Consultative based approach, with a background in consulting preferred.
