Trade Compliance delivers operational pre, at and post border compliance activity informed by risk and utilising evidence based assessments to prioritise activities and treatments. Trade Compliance operates across the entire supply chain and end to end importing and exporting process in collaboration with stakeholders and partners, to disrupt or change the behaviour of non-compliant entities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to initiate, build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, to achieve outcomes that deliver regulatory benefits to the organisation, our industry partners and the Australian community. The key duties of the position include: Undertake desktop verification exercises, conducting analytical research and risk assessments Assess and evaluate profiled cargo for possible revenue evasion, import or export of controlled goods and correct cargo reporting Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, providing accurate advice to industry and guidance on trade compliance matters Prepare recommendations for compliance and infringement action and investigate referrals from other line areas on matters of revenue evasion and community protection. Eligibility To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen. The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and: ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC). Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check. In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
